A group cruise is an idea we’ve kicked around for a while, as a part honeymoon and post-wedding celebration/vacation for us and all of our guests who were interested. We can now confirm that it is happening!
We’ve just finished booking a cabin on the Carnival Inspiration that departs out of Long Beach, Los Angeles on April 23rd, heads to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico and returns to LA on Friday the 27th of April, and we’d like you to join us for the trip!
Here are some of the boat’s features:
- Sit down dinners and all you can eat cafes and food stations
- Water park and mini golf
- Night clubs
- Spas
- Casino
- Drinks
- Entertainment shows, bingo, etc, etc
- Offshore excursions
- Pools and deck chairs to enjoy the sun
For those coming in from out of town, it turns the wedding from a three day sprint into a comfortable vacation and for those local to SD then it’s just additional fun ?
We would love you all to consider it, so here are the details:
| Dates: | Departing on April 23rd and returning on April 27th |
| Cost: | On the low end the cost is $299/per or $677.74 for two with all taxes included. This price puts you at the front or back of the boat (more motion) in an interior room (no window) but gets you on board. Prices increase accordingly depending on what additional options you choose |
| Deposit: | A deposit of $150/per is owed at the time of booking |
| Remainder: | The full balance must be paid by February 23rd 2012 |
| Dinner: | 6:15pm, but buffets are always available |
The prices listed are part of their current early saver deal, which is cheaper than any other promotion including group packages, California resident packages, and senior packages. If the price drops further from now until two days before the cruise, then the price for those who bought tickets using the early saver deal actually adjust downwards, which is pretty cool. This deal is valid for 3 months before the cruise.

Our room is E98 on the Empress Deck, which is in the middle of the boat with an Oceanview, but don’t feel pressured to be near us, You can pick whatever cabin you want based on your needs and budget.
